About Gautam Buddha University, established by the Uttar Pradesh Act (9) of 2002, commenced its first academic session in August 2008. Gautam Buddha University has 455 acres of lush green campus with the built up area of 8,000,000 sq.ft at Greater Noida. The fully residential campus is modelled in line with the best institutions of higher learning across the globe. The design of the Gautam Buddha University is an integration of buildings, landscape, art, sculpture, and environment. The features of infrastructure such as natural lighting, ventilation, traditional elements like lattices, sunshades and domes, allows to establish a strong link with the natural environment. All these features complement each other and give a unique identity to the campus.
The University has a world class infrastructure in terms of its buildings of Eight Schools of studies with Auditorium and Conference facilities, Administrative Block, Central Library, University Auditorium with 3000 seating capacity, Sports Complexes, Health Care Centre, Hostels, International Convention Centre and a well equipped Guest House. Excellent internal roads, gardens, illuminated campus, state-of-the-art IT enabled class-rooms, laboratories and other amenities, well maintained hostel buildings make the University an incredible place for study.

A rich library facility with well stacked books, journals, magazines, separate reading and reference sections and modern e-resources with free-access to a large number of E-journals and E-books makes it a very significant source of learning. Mahamaya Shanti Sarovar, a beautiful water body spread over 1 lac sq. ft. area is in the midst of the Schools of the University. Entire campus is equipped with Wi-Fi facility of 1GBPS Internet Speed with 24 hours power backup.
The University is fully funded by the New Okhla Industrial Development Authority (NOIDA) and the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA), the undertakings of the Government of Uttar Pradesh. The University is recognized by the University Grants Commission under UGC Act and is a member of the Association of Indian Universities. In the age of globalization, Gautam Buddha University has set out to make its presence felt globally through internationalization of its various programmes and opening new avenues of association for international student community.
The University has world class state-of-the-art infrastructure with IT facilities and well-found laboratories having advanced analytical instrumentation and computing facilities. The University promotes multi dimensional growth with emphasis on an integrated physical and intellectual training. The Eklavya Sports Complex in the University is spread over 47 acres with indoor and outdoor stadium of global standards, equipped with state-of-the art sports facilities for almost all popular games.

Courses

University is offering 130+ programmes out of which 26 new programmes encompassing many new and sunrise disciplines of studies to the prospective students. Among these emerging sunrise field of studies, the University has included programmes in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Internet of Things, Cyber Security, Data Science, Railway Signaling & RAMS, Molecular Medicines, Genomics, Bio-informatics, Microbial Biotechnology, Buddhist Tourism and Heritage, Interior Design, Bio-medical Engineering, Electric Vehicles, Polyurethane Technology, Environment Management, Clinical Psychology, etc. All such programmes related with emerging sectors and sunrise technologies in synchrony with the essence of predominant Buddhist Ethical Practices would place India in the front rank of advanced nations. Here, it is imperative to mention that University has adopted National Education Policy 2020 in principle and offering Undergraduate programme of 4 years B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. (H) with multiple exit options. In the same line, University is introducing new programmes B.A. B.Ed./ B.Sc. B.Ed./ B.Com. B.Ed.(under ITEP), M A (Hindu Studies), & M A (Linguistics) alongwith weekend programme for working professionals M. Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering, MBA (Executive), LLM, B.Tech (CE), and M.Tech (CE). The Student strength is 5000+.
