GBU Internal Smart India Hackathon 2026

GBU Incubation Centre, Gautam Buddha University, Greater Noida

We are excited to announce that Gautam Buddha University will organize an Internal Hackathon during the second week of September 2026 to evaluate and nominate teams for Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2026.

Key Team Guidelines:
• Team Size: Each team must consist of exactly 6 members (all members must belong to Gautam Buddha University; no inter-college teams permitted).
• Diversity: At least one female member is mandatory in every team.
• Cross-Disciplinary: Multidisciplinary teams across different branches/specializations are strongly encouraged.

Problem Statement Options:
Teams may select one problem statement from:
1. Official SIH 2026 Problem Statements
2. Institute-Level Problem Statements (identified by GBU)
3. Societal / State-Level Problem Statements

Evaluation Criteria:
An expert panel from academia and industry will evaluate teams on: Innovation, Feasibility, Technical Approach, Impact, and Presentation.

Immediate Steps for Teams:
1. Form a team of 6 members (ensuring at least 1 female member).
2. Finalize your Problem Statement / Theme.
3. Start brainstorming and developing your solution idea.
4. Registration details and official schedule will be announced soon (Registration will be done strictly by the Team Leader).
